Non-Remunerated Visitor Visa Requirement

El pasado 22 de octubre del presente año, la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores emitió un comunicado mediante el cual se informa a todas las embajadas y consulados de México que a todas las personas que por su nacionalidad, requieren de una visa para ingresar a México, se les exigirá la presentación de “Visa de Visitante Sin Actividades Remuneradas” para realizar un vuelo con destino a México o con escalas en sus aeropuertos internacionales sin importar duración de su estancia en territorio nacional.

Estarán exentas las personas extranjeras que cuenten con residencia temporal o permanente vigente en México o sean titulares de pasaporte o documento que acredite su residencia permanente en Canadá, Estados Unidos de América, Japón, Reino Unido de Gran Bretaña e Irlanda del Norte, cualquiera de los países que conforman el Espacio Schengen, así como los países miembros de la Alianza del Pacífico o bien cuenten con un visado válido y vigente para Canadá, Estados Unidos de América, Japón, Reino Unido de Gran Bretaña e Irlanda del Norte o cualquiera de los países que conforman el Espacio Schengen.

On October 22nd of this year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement informing all embassies and consulates of Mexico that all people who, due to their nationality, require a visa to enter Mexico, will require them to present a “Visitor Visa Without Remunerated Activities” to make a flight to Mexico or with stops at its international airports, regardless of the duration of their stay in national territory.

Foreigners who have a valid temporary or permanent residence in Mexico or are holders of a passport or document that proves their permanent residence in Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or any of the countries will be exempt. that make up the Schengen Area, as well as the member countries of the Pacific Alliance or have a valid and current visa for Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or any of the countries that They make up the Schengen Area.
